Back From our "Baby Moon" in Kauai

Scott surprised me for our 3rd anniversary and got us tickets to go to Hawaii for one last hurrah before the baby is born this fall. Even at 5 months pregnant I had a blast! We snorkeled tons, hiked, rented beach cruisers and even got to go on a sail boat around the Napali Coast. I have never been so hot in my life! It was like turning on the shower in the bathroom until its all hot and steamy and that is how I would describe the weather there. We stayed in cute condo on the beach and loved that Kauai had a Costco so we could cook stock up on bulk snacks for the preggo lady. My favorite part was all the wildlife we saw! A monk seal decided to swim in the harbor next to us and lay out next to our belongings, we saw so many turtles, tons of fish and even 3 eels! Scott and I spent the week trying to figure out how we were going to be able to live there...

One of the highlights of the trip would be the flight. Not that it was enjoyable in any way ( the way down we had to go from SLC, to San Fran, to LA to Kauai-yuck, pregnant or not). While I slept maybe a total of 35 min on all flights combined, Scott slept like a baby for 95% of them. We are talking tongue hanging out, snoring, the works. Thats what I wish I had a picture of! But the great part was on the red eye back, we decided to "miss" our connecting flight from LAX to SLC and go to see my niece's baby blessing! It was amazing to get to see family and hang out even if it was just a day and I didn't sleep on the red eye. I thought I was doing good until I was holding the baby in Sacrament and my sister said she would take her back, and I said I was fine. She then informed me I was falling asleep while holding her and I think she feared for her daughters life. Anyways, we rented a car and drove the rest of the way back the next day.

Over all, best week of my life. I had so much fun just hanging out with my husband. I am going through withdrawals of not seeing him all day. I love that he is my best friend and can't wait for what's to come.
