Lack of Posting

I am the type of person that gets annoyed that people haven't updated their blogs in a week and then realize that I have not updated mine in months. Sorry. I guess I should be happy that we have been busy living life and have not had enough spare time to document our happenings but I think the more accurate statement would be that I have just been too lazy.
I will post pictures soon but as of right now we are in California visiting our families and I am just sitting here doing nothing because my boy has pink eye, an ear infection and a bad yucky cough. I am thrilled that he has not ever had an ear infection or antiseptics up until this point ( thrilled because he doesn't get sick often despite eating off the floor) and happy that antibiotics will be in his system long enough to still let us still see nieces and nephews on Christmas day but sick kids suck. End of sorry. Wishing you a Merry Healthy Christmas from a bunch of sick-os!

Happy Halloween...from our monster to yours!

Best part of the night was when Marty started knocking on garage doors and stood for at least a few minutes patiently waiting for someone to come bring him some candy.
Scott dressed up as Marty...
Marty was a pro... running up to each of the houses and instead of saying trick or treat he would just say, "knock knock"
I was Charlie Chaplin, but I thought I looked morel like Hitler in a suit. Oh well, I tried to be festive.

We had a great time until Marty realized that what people were putting in his bag was actually candy and he grabbed a sucker from the stash and informed us he was done. This kid will do anything for a dum dum.

Happy Halloween everyone!

Happy halloween

I can't wait to share with you photos of my little monster in his Halloween costume! I love this time of yea and have had so much fun enjoying the fall colors, crisp air and apple cider! The other day we go to go to Farnsworth Farms and take a hay ride, play carnival games and sip apple cider while eating fresh apple cider donuts. If you know me, you know I love food and this cider was the best I have ever tasted! Enjoy the haunting and check back soon to see the McNairy's Halloween costume!

A year of Marty...

The belly
1 Week
1 month
2 months
3 months
4 months
5 months
6 months
7 months
8 months
9 months
10 months
11 months

I can't believe Marty is a year this morning! It seems like just last month Scott and I were on the way to the hospital so excited that we were going to have this little one finally join our family. He has changed to much in a year! From being a helpless little baby to a adventurous little boy who likes to get in everything. Marty is so smart and curious and funny and brings so much joy to our lives. It melted my heart when he said Jesus for the first time this Sunday and I cried laughing when he copied us and did his "karate" moves we taught him at the park.
Seeing as he just just turned one this morning I do not have any 1 year photos yet to post, but be warned, he has taken quite a few spills this week and is covered in bruises. I promise we love this boy and all injuries were unavoidable toddler spills.
I love you Marty and can't wait to see how much more you will grow and learn this year!

I love this

I love that this is what wakes me up every morning, that he is this stoked that we are going to the park, and that he has been mine for almost a year...

Carli and Adam

Oh My Gosh! Does this picture just say it all? I had the best time photographing these two in Oakley, Utah. Don't know where that is? Well it's a small town about 25 min from Park City, population 1200. Not only was it a fun little town but there was a ton of really cool places that were perfect for Adam and Carly's engagement photos. And this dinner? Hello, photographers dream. I can't wait to show you more! I have a new photo-blog that I am launching this week, so stay tuned! There will be giveaways!

Holy Move Out Batman

So I just found out, as in yesterday, that someone wants to buy our contract, on the condition that they can move in next Wednesday. Crazy huh? Want some more crazy on top of that? If they move in next Wednesday, we have to be out by Monday. And here is the cherry on top- my bridal show is on Saturday! Haha Yes mathematicians thats in 4 days.
Scott and I are moving to Saratoga Springs to save some money while Scott's in school but I was thinking that we wouldn't be able to move until October (thats what our contract says) but things just happened how they did.
Am I crazy for thinking that this is doable!? I dont really have a choice, there is no try, just do and do quickly. In the words of my favorite blue fish, "just keep swimming" and I hope I stay afloat for the next few days. If I look like I have had no sleep, I havn't, if I look like I've cried, I have, and if I look happy I promise I am. Life is a ride, and Im going to hang on (but I may be screaming at the top of my lungs on the way down, its more fun that way)

Fear Less

So, today I counted how many times Marty fell over in 5 min. 10 times. Thats 120 times in hour. Yet he still keeps getting up. He is a good walker and he still falls down all the time.

It got me thinking that I need to be more fearless. There are things in life that knock us down or that are hard but we could all use a little lesson from Marty. Keep getting up! Do things that are hard and instead of pouting or quitting, act like its no big deal and do it again!

I will be having a booth at the upcoming Bridal Extravaganza at the South Town Expo Center (September 11th, come on by!) I won't lie, I am little nervous. But after watching my baby keep trying and smiling and seeing how fearless he is, I have decided to be more fearless!

World, bring it on!

I'm an Aunt again!

Meet Rion!

I just got back from a fun filled week in Santa Barbara, Moreno Valley, Disney Land and Arizona!
I need a vacation from my vacation but before I can rest I just have to post a few of my new nephew! He looks just like his daddy and is so sweet. I am hoping I can attend his baby blessing...

I ended up driving to Arizona with just Marty. I thought I might be a little insane in attempting such a long journey with the boy but it turned out to be a lot of fun. I find the Arizona desert to be really beautiful. Who knew I was a sucker for cactus? It was hotter than an oven and I even got to go scorpion hunting!

8-9-10

How could I not post on a day when I can say 8.9.10! I am at work right now ( I work randomly at a high school in their PE lab in the summer) and I get to put the date on everything! Its awesome!
Ha
So whats going on with the McNairy's you may be asking yourself? ( Let me at least pretend that you are asking your selves that)
Scott is in school and kicking chemistry's booty! O-chem is next semester and he is prepared for his booty to be kicked then. Hopefully all will be well and he will rock it, he is so smart! He is looking forward to visiting his family soon and see the beloved South Pasadena house that he grew up in! His dad recently retired and they moved back this month. I only saw the house 2 times pre-mission and don't really remember it and look forward to visiting it as well!

I am super busy with my photog-biz and am preparing for a bridal show in September. I have been assisting another photographer here in Utah and have been helping shoot weddings Th-Fri-Sat for a good portion of this month! It has been crazy busy but so much fun. I tell myself each day I am going to get back on the Weight Watchers bandwagon and all the cake and chocolate and candy at these weddings are killing me! I am devastated that summer is almost over and I didnt get to do half the stuff on my list! I am crossing my fingers that the fall will be warm enough to still do a lot of the things I planned for July.

Marty is walking! Not just a step here or there but like across an entire room. I love and despise his dexterity all at the same time. My babe is growing up too fast! ( I just realized how many times I have used and exclamation point in this post. sorry, life is exciting i guess) He really songs, especially the one about the monkeys teasing Mr. Alligator and is a happy guy. Recently he has started scrunching up his face and grunting and growling when he is upset instead of crying. He seriously looks as if you just told him the worlds milk supply has just run out. Then within .5 seconds he is back to normal. Its kind of funny and cute but in the please stop throwing tantrums kind of way. Love the kid

In other news... well actually I think thats about it. Hope to post more before 9-10-11

Balboa Family Photo Shoot

Despite record size waves, cold 4th of July temperatures, and tired babies I had a great time photographing the Heath family reunion. This family was gorgeous! They all belonged in a J.Crew catalog. Check out more from their photo shoot at HERE

3rd of July Beach Trip to San Clemente

This was one of the best days at the beach ever. Not too hot, not cold, water just the right temperature and lots of family around to relax with. I have so many great memories at this beach from my childhood! I know its almost a month later but better late than never!
Marty's feet print in the sand! By the way, he is walking. Can you believe it?

Still Alive

I promise, I am still alive! I just got back from a much needed vacation in California hanging out with my wonderful family and enjoying the 4th of July. It would have been perfect if only my hubby could have come a long! He had a test and school back here in Utah so Marty and I had some adventures away so he could study.
Marty is getting so big. He is 9months old and I feel like he was just born!He just learned how to crawl and he is already on to walking on furniture and I fear really walking is only days away. What happened to my little boy? We went to the beach a few time while we were in California and this kid is a beach bum! He loved every minute of it and was so good|! (besides eating sand)
Now that we are back I have so much blogging to catch up on! I promise more is on the way in the next few days!
Here are a few pictures of Paige and Elle, Click HERE to see their photo shoot

Here is Marty at the beach with my mom and dad. Can you see the joy in his face? This was at San Clemente and one of my favorite beach days EVER. I will be blogging more photos of that next. Stay tuned
