National I Love My Sisters Day!

Today I was just thinking about what wonderful sisters I have! Let me tell you why I love them:

On the left- Angelic Angela
She is the nicest of all of us, always optimistic and smiling. She can bake a killer cake (as a kid she wanted to grow up to be a pink cake maker) and she is leaving to go on a mission! She will be going to the Manchester England Mission in October, and if all goes according to schedule she should be able to just barely meet little baby McNairy before she leaves. She is going to be such a good missionary. I love her because she is so positive and kind! When she comes and visits she always asks, " Can I make you dinner?" or "Do you need anything?". I will miss car pooling down with her at Christmas time and holidays. ( I won't miss her serving attitude when we stop at my in-laws on the way to California! I have to remind her that it makes me look bad when she offers to do their dishes or help with dinner when I have not yet done so yet... haha that Angelic side again)

To my immediate right- Wendy the Wonderful
What can I say, when we had a class together in High School she made me change out of her jeans in a closet. (To her credit I didn't ask, I must have forgotten we had a class together or something). Needless to say we have overcome our rocky past and I consider her one of my bestest friends ever. She is the best mom, super talented, and just about all I could want to be! That little sass muffin is moving to Boston in a few weeks and I am not yet able to discuss it without tears so ask me about it later when we both have our skpe phones going, I should be doing better... But, I love her becuase she is super woman. She doesn't complain she just does. In a word, she is selfless!

And on the Far left- Kind Katelyn
Katelyn just got her Drivers License this week and I can't believe she is 16! She has so much going for her... height, beauty, and most importantly the biggest heart. She is so kind to our nieces and is really good at trying to make everyone happy. It seems like only yesterday Wendy and I were babysitting her when we knocked out her tooth or watched her slip on a bat! She survived us and is a tough cookie, playing catcher on numerous softball teams. I love her not only because she is my baby sister but because she is someone I would choose to hang out with! It just feels good to hang out with her!

So, if you have a sister or sisters out there, call and tell them you love them. Mine all live far away now :(
If yours are close, hug them!
Wishing for a group hug of my own....
Kristine

PS Please note how Wendy and I are actually standing almost fully upright in the middle and the the two significantly younger sisters are crouched way down? I think my mom didn't really feed Wendy and I vegetables or something growing up. they have us by at least 3-5 inches. yargh

Happy Tuesday

I am finding some days are easier than others to love being pregnant. I am in love with this little baby that's on the way and am getting so excited to meet him, but I am finding it harder and harder to embrace loving my changing body! What happened to my waist line? Why do my already large hips feel like they have doubled in size over night? Why do I grunt when I bend over and try to wear shoes I don't have to tie!!

Over all the pregnancy has been great and I appreciate a supportive husband who thinks me and all of the extra me is just "more to love". Having no morning sickness or true tiredness early in my pregnancy gave me hope that maybe I would be one of those cute "petite" preggo ladies. Haha who was I kidding? (PS the whole bag of marshmallows I ate last week I am sure don't help!)

So, now that I have officially vented why I am having a hard time adjusting to the new even more shapely me, let me tell you what I love about being pregnant:

*Despite the occasional stares of people who I swear have never seen someone pregnant, most people have been way extra nice! From nicer people at the airport, more doors opened, and I swear I got more frozen yogurt in my cup than a normal serving!

* I love feeling the baby kick, I feel like we have bonded all ready! Sometimes I treat him like a little magic 8 ball... "Kick if I should buy this shirt.." "Hold still if you think we should wait until tomorrow to clean the house.." It's been great

*It means there is a baby on the way and I can't wait!

So, Happy Tuesday to all. Can't wait for family to visit this weekend. Still not sure what to do with this whole "July 24th" holiday here in this state. We are having a BBQ but not being a native here I feel like we aren't doing it right, like I should be donning a pioneer skirt while cooking that day or something.

Anyways, I have bronchitis right now, so I should probably get me and my "as safe as a preggo lady can be" medicated LITTLE *haha self back to bed.

Peace
