I spy with my little eye...

Ever feel like someone is watching you?

I love being watched by him all day but I am starting to be more aware that I need to be doing what I am supposed to so this little man grows up to be the kind of man I hope he will be

A day in the Life of Marty

Starts out with a bath, one of Marty's favorite things. Lately he has discovered how fun it is to kick and splash and loves to try to grab the water as we are pouring it. He shakes from excitement when he sees he is about to get in the bath
Marty likes to take sips from our water cups, I love floaties as much as the next mom, but I figured it was time to get the boy his own sipper. If you can tell from this picture, Marty and Mr. Sippy are best friends
Just had to share some of the cutest little buns in the world. Blogger uploaded these backwards but this was on our way to the bath. Do you see the dimples? Aww, to be a baby again when cottage cheese thighs are cute.

Marty has started dabbling into solid foods now for a little over a month. His favorites are carrots and sweet potatoes. We haven't tried fruit yet but its coming. The photos demo that its quite a messy process which is why he is nakey and why we usually have bath time just after.

Life is good. I am so happy. Spring has started to spring and I didnt realize how much I missed it.
I tried on bathing suits. ha.
Weight watchers round 2! I am four days strong. Someone please explain to me why I can weigh 3lbs less than I did when I had him but need a new swimsuit to hide my new wobbly bits?

Harder than they looked...

Just realized I never posted the final Oscar cookie. Lets just say they were a challenge and didn't quite meet me expectations. But they were fun to attempt! Any ideas on what to do with edible gold spray glitter?

Obsessed

I don't know what it is about this little chile but I I have obsessed lately with them. Chipotle Chili's that is. I buy the can of chipotle chili's in adobe sauce, whip them into a smokey firery frenzy in the food processor and have decided they are good on just about everything! I have made a chipotle cream sauce to add to burritos and quesadillas (yummmm) and today I made chipotle hummus. I can't wait for this one, its sitting in my fridge next to the avocado hummus and pita chips that will be waiting for me when I get home tonight. There is something about the smokey-ness that is just mouth watering and while they are hot, they are not too hot but it has the perfect amount of afterburn. I sound like such a nerd but I am kind of a foodie.

In other exciting news, Oscar Party this Sunday! I can't wait and I am going to attempt to make these:

I tried to make a cookie cutter that was this shape (Thank you frosty the snowman cookie cutter that so willingly gave his life to this project) and it came out horrible. I guess it was cause I tried to use my fingers to bend it. Great hubby came home and used pliers and it came out great. I will post a picture of them on the blog but I am sure they will not look look nearly as good as the ones above. Oh well!
