Camping Part2

It turned cold fast! This is Marty in just about every layer we brought with socks on his hands. He couldn't move his arms! haha
Scott humoring me and going on an easy trail with me.
Proof that I was on a bike! This was trail was soo much fun
We let Marty drive for part of the trip but had to put him back in his car seat because he had a tendency to speed...
Fruita has a dinosaur museum, (which we didnt go to) and there were dinosaurs all over town. This was Grrretta, she tried to eat Scott and Marty
This was another dinosaur. We tried to offer him Marty but he wouldn't eat him cause he was too cute
Marty and his shades..
Getting warmed up in the car.. wow the car looks messy!

Can you tell a difference in the my point and shoot camera that took these pictures and my nice camera that took the other ones?

Fruita Camping Adventures Part1

We had a great time last weekend on our very first family camping trip. We went with Scott's brother Matt and our nephew and brought some mountain bikes. It was so much fun! The campsite we stayed at was so nice. Very big, very green, family friendly, clean bathrooms and a lake! Because Scott had a test we didn't get to the site until almost sunset. We had enough time to put up our tent, run and catch the sunset and then make a fire and roast some marshmallows! It got pretty cold that night and we had Marty bundled in almost every layer we brought for him. He slept pretty good, ( I think got more sleep than I did) and in the morning Scott and his brother hit some advanced trails while me, Marty and our nephew played frisbee golf around the site. We then packed up the cars, went in to town for lunch and then went on some more mellow trails. At first I thought I was going to die, and was really unhappy I went on this trip, then I saw my 11 year old nephew doing the trail with ease and realized I wasn't going to die and that mountain biking actually is fun! We took turn watching Marty and I can honestly say the trail I went on in Fruita is now my most favorite one I have ever been on ( I can count the trails I have been on in on one hand but this one was awesome) After some tricky trivia we hoped back in the cars and went home. Yup, a 24 hour camping trip . Seemed like the perfect amount of time to me! More pictures to come from my point and shoot camera

My baby is 7 months!

I don't know where the time is going but Marty is getting so big. Scott and I are so lucky to have such a happy go lucky baby. He was grinning this big and he is even teething again! What a trooper.
Facts about Marty:
Loves bath time- he has recently discovered the joys of splashing and kicking his feet and thinks his reflection in the faucet is hilarious. His alphabet bath toys are his favorite but sucking on the wash cloth comes in a close second. He whines when we have to take him out.
Can play peekaboo- I feel like this kid is a genius ( come on its every mothers right to believe their child is brilliant) It is so neat to see him learning new things each day. We put his blanket on his head and pull it off and yell boo and he responds with a plethera of giggles. Recently when we ask where did Marty go, he puts the blanket on his head and rips it off laughing.
Has 2 Teeth!- teething with this kid really wasn't so bad, a little more cranky, a little less sleeping and then bam. 2 teeth on the bottom. You can see them and his awesome dimple in the picture above. He is still learning not to bite me when he eats. This has been a tough battle which may result in bottles only soon...
Almost crawling- He gets up on his hands and knees and rocks and can roll to just about anything. I don't feel like my house is ready for a mobile baby yet. I am enjoying these last rare moments of house freedom.
Enjoyed his first camping trip- Scott and I went on quick mountain biking/camping trip to Fruita Colorado last weekend. It was a little cold at night but for the most part he did great. Pictures to come. I will let you know if camping with a baby is still fun after he can move..
Other Marty facts- He loves when people sing, is still smiley, had gotten even more cudley lately, and brings our family so much joy. I am so glad I am a mom!
