Six Favorite Foods

Well, seeing as I love to eat how can I narrow my favorites down to six? Thanks a lot Wendy, here it goes-
1. Tomato Basil Soup from the former Hollywood Juice Cafe- so dang good with grilled cheese or toasted bagels!
2.Any soup but chicken noodle- I LOVE soup, almost any kind. Scott makes a killer beef and barley, I like creamy chicken with wild rice, stew is good, and I can even make a Thai peanut soup that's killer. Soup is just awesome
3. White pizza with Dubliner Cheese- if you have not experienced the joys of Dubliner Cheese, rush out the nearest Costco and partake of yummy goodness.
4. Broccoli Pasta- I love having a brother in law from Italy! This is such a simple but good dish!
5. Jalepeno Poppers- The Noordas taught us how to make home made baked poppers with cream cheese and bacon sprinkled on top. Just be careful to wear gloves when preparing. We found out the hard (and hot) way that these suckers can burn!
6. Hummus- Its just so good! ( I really only like it homemade though)
Now I am so hungry!

Where Am I?

This was the weekend of almost awesome. I (Scott) don't pride myself with being on time to much of anything, but this weekend was exceptionally ridiculous. At the time this photo was being taken I was walking up the driveway into the house. I got inside just in time to see everyone walking back into the house from the backyard. Of course, it wasn't so bad because I was on my way back from my niece's (Marina) baptism, which I also missed by about 3 seconds. I walked into the room as they were closing the curtains of the font. As noted below, the paper airplane contest was fun, or so I hear, I was also late to that and walked into the front yard to enter my plane in the contest while everyone else was walking back in, having finished the contest. But I did make it back for work on time on Monday, which I quit that Friday.

Is it bad to have favorites?

I have favorites. As long as everyone around me thinks their my favorite

then I it's not really wrong is it?

My Cute Neice

Reasons I love this picture:
1. This photo was snagged mid-twirl. I don't know when the last time I had a good twirl was but I think the world would be happier if we twirled around a bit more.
2. Love the pink shoes!
3. I just can't help but smile and think how awesome the giant paper airplane contest this last holiday was. This photo reminds me of how everyone, including dads and uncles proved we don't really get older, we just become bigger kids.

Hang Loose

Sorry I have not posted in so long. Prepare for massive posts in the next few days as I have massive new pictures to show the world ( or few people that look at this blog) While home in California for Thanksgiving I discovered that if you totally relax your face, shake your head as fast as you can and have the camera settings set pretty fast, you can laugh away almost all the holiday calories. These were taken the other night back in P-town with the exception of Stephan's photo.

Sometimes You Just Need To Be Silly

No, I didn't buy the hat. Yes, I posed with it on all around the store. Yes, people were looking and Yes, it was fun being silly.

I LOVE Fall!!!

Let me list the reasons I have loved this week: 1. It just so happens to be fall break, which translates to- I didn't have to teach this week! 2. I was able to bust out my favorite sweater to be all cozy in 3. It's soup season. Yes, I have had soup three times this week. Next week I am going for four.

Witches were every where in Gardner Village! Did you know you can take a wagon ride with a witch that will tell you fun /scary stories as you are whisked around the "village"? Me neither till I was about to leave. Next time...

So this week was awesome. It is Fall Break for the school district I teach in, so yes, that means there was no school this week! That alone would have brought enough delight but, on top of that, I had a fall "outing" to Gardner Village. I was a first timer, but I think I'm now hooked for life. Me and my best friend went in the afternoon and although we came home empty handed, our stomachs were full of homemade goodies and my memory card full of fall-ish things

Conference Weekend

These all got put in backwards... I wish I knew how to change that. If you look really carefully, just above the trees, you can see our little plane! It got sooo high!
Here is Angela and I.... Aren't we cute sisters?
Scott is just about to launch Old Yeller for its first flight...

One of my favorite things about October Conference is going outside and enjoying fall between sessions. Scott and I were lucky this year to have my little sister Angela and my parents here for the weekend. Sunday afternoon we decided to go to Rock Canyon and test out our new toy: a snazy, yellow, battery powered airplane, which we happened to name Old Yeller. Basically it was awesome.

Eating Soup

Eating a delicious bowl of "Creamy Wild Rice and Chicken" soup right now. (I LOVE this soup, thank you Cambells) Its about 100' degrees outside currently, not really soup weather. I took this picture last fall and it looks a lot more "soup appropriate". So I am here, eating my soup, pretending its chilly. Can't wait for October...

Scott's photo shoot

No, Scott is not pursuing a career in modeling, he just is my guinea pig for scoping out new places to take pictures! I'm lucky he is so cute and such a good sport!

Got Mail?

Just look at him! Doesn't our little mail box seem sad? I bet you he is sick of the junk mail and bills he normally gets! Bet you can fix that...

We HATE Spiders

Hate is such a strong word but there really is no other way to describe how we feel about our little 8 legged friends. Living in a basement apartment has really helped us get to know these clever little arachnids more then we could have ever dreamed ( or nightmared). While brushing my teeth the other night I looked in the window well (things only basement apartment dwellers really understand) and there he was. A bird, a plane, no a spider the size of plane. To my horror there was the largest spider I had ever seen staring at me with everyone of his little beaty eyes. Scott of course heard my cries for help and quickly armed himself with: long sleeve shirt and boots, hairspray and a lighter, t.p. and an airsoft gun. This spider was too clever/large for simple death by t.p. and considering his location in the window well, lighting him on fire seemed like a bad idea. Verdict- death by airsoft. RIP big fella, but I must warn his hopefully smaller comrades: my husband is armed!
**The spider photographed above I'm sure is a smaller relative of my spider Peeping Tom, but at least he is smart enough to stay outside.

April Showers, Still Brings August Flowers!

So, I was so bored yesterday that I drove around until I found things I wanted to take pictures of. I was so excited when I found these flowers! They just seem to scream...summers not over yet!!!

Photo Session 1: In the Park

Kristine and I went to the park to take some pictures. She woke me up from my nap and i was like...."meeh." But she wanted a good model to take pictures of, and I can't blame her.

So Kristine is pretty pumped because she got her new camera. The park was fun; I wasn't wearing my contacts so I felt like I was still asleep.

Yosemite

Scott and I got to travel to Yosemite for a week with the rest of the McNairy clan. We had such a good time hiking and hanging out that it has been quite a shock to be back. One of my favorite parts about the trip was the fact that Cannon happened to be there, loaning out their cameras and experts for a guided "photo hike". I think I fell in love with cameras almost as much as I did with the beautiful sights. Scott enjoyed rafting down the river with his mom, Jeneatte and I. Over all it was awesome.
