Sew Busy

I have been a work widow the last little bit as Scott's company has been switching offices. So Marty and I have been hanging out playing with my new point and shoot camera I got for Christmas
Who can resist those buns?
So this has been the major project I have been working on. I have wanted a Petunia Pickle Bottoms diaper bag ever since I saw my sister-in-laws but there is no way I can afford one so I thought.. Why not try to make one? It has been so much fun and while there are quite a few flaws I am for the most part really proud of it. It took me a week to make because I had to sew during nap times but it's finally done. The outside fabric I fell in love with last year and Scott bought it for me for Christmas a year ago and I have been saving it for the right project. The interior is leftover from Scott's lining of his Christmas stocking and the interior pockets are from the runners that were used at our wedding. It has magnet closures and a zipper! I m no Martha Stewart but I sure like pretending!

How do you get to be in two places at once?

Identity Theft!
I am now one of the innumerable victims of identity theft. While reviewing our bank account the other day I noticed a suspicious purchase in the amount of about $800 in North Hollywood. I quickly called my bank to let them know that I live in Utah and there is no way I could be in California and Utah at the same time to make the before mentioned purchase. Luckily I was able to verify I was in Utah as I had purchased a redbox rental here in Utah the same day the suspicious account activity occurred. ( I was really bored, and I do NOT recommend the movie Fame)
The scary part was that the purchase was made in person! So not only did someone get my credit card number they made a copy of my card and have been using it! Scary. Be really careful my friends, you never know who wants to be you

Snow Day!

When the weather is bad and you can't play outside what do you do? You play inside! I don't know what it is but Marty has been so grumpy lately. Mostly he is just tired but I sure hope this doesn't mean teeth are coming.
I am trying to get faster with my photoshoots and I took and edited these pictures of Marty in less than 20 minutes! I am working towards being fast enough to book a day of mini shoots.

I'm a Quitter!!!

Guess what? I'm a quitter and I have never been happier about it! Last Friday was my last day of work and I am proud to announce I am a now a full time mom. I thought I could do the whole work thing. I thought what is a half day? A half day is huge! That's half the day I can't be home with this..
So, I am a quitter and I feel like a winner. I know I am going to get bored, that I am still going to crave adult interaction but I know most of all that I made the right choice!

Fun in Pasadena

Sara and I were roommates in college and we both happened to be visiting family in California over the Christmas holidays so nothing beats lunch and a photo shoot with good friends. Her little Lily is 6 days older than Marty and we have already decided that they should go off to college together. Sara's husband is in dental school on the other side of the country so I was thrilled we got to catch up.
