Film Fest 08

Monday Scott and I and our good friends the Megehee's went to the Sundance film festival to try to catch a movie and see some famous people. I must admit, I am addicted to people.com but I didn't think I would end up star struck. I hate that we pay the paparazzi to follow people around. So I get there and what happens? I see the paparazzi in all their glory outside a shop and I jump in with them!! I was so one of them and it was kind of a rush. I didn't have my camera with me, (ironic I know) but I was able to see Kelly Preston, Glen Close, John Legend, possibly Paris Hilton, and the some of the people from Dog town and Z boys. I am so embarrassed I let myself get sucked in. Oh well, it was fun and I still have a distaste for the paparazzi, I just have been in a small town too long.
As to the film we saw, it was great. I am not very "green" minded but we saw a documentary on the oil companies and about bio fuel. It wasn't too preachy and made me want a gas friendly vehicle ( goodbye dreams of the X-terra) The director and actors where there and it was pretty neat. After driving in practically a blizzard and leaving way to early in the morning to guarantee a seat, I would still say it was a blast! Thanks Alicia and Mark for going with us!
*I think instead of young at heart maybe I am an old lady trapped in a younger body... I REALLY wanted to see a documentary on this senior citizen group that sings the clash and other awesome, not quite fitting music... Maybe next year I get my way. ( there was also a whole film on a guy that plays air drums! hahah I could have spent the week here!)

Engagement Shoot!
The Foates and Such

Paige and her Daddy

Does she love the camera or what? And below is my older and wiser sister and her other half

The picture above and below are of some of Wendy's good friend Shauna's kids. They were visiting from Florida and it was nice to see them while we were there. Aren't they cute!

It's Finally Here... The Christmas Posts!

I know what you are thinking, it's alread the middle of January. If you look at my past blogging timeline though, this is actually pretty good. Didn't get the above picture in your Christmas Card? What, didn't get a Christmas Card? Well, no one did this year. So so sorry, I promise we had good intentions and even the stamps this time but we decided to err, umm, give the mail man a break. So, enough said, grab yourself a treat (or small meal) and sit back and enjoy the recap...
About two days before we left I got to do a photo shoot for a friend I used to work with. These little girls totally reminded me of me and my sister and besides the fact that it was 21 degress it was blast. By the way, can't wait to have kids and a Gap card...

So then we started our journey to California. We got to stay with Scott's parents in Vegas on the way down then stay the rest of our trip with my parents. With the McNairy clan being so close ( in So-Cal terms) and my sister not far away we were able to get out and see almost everyone.
*Average car time per day= 1 and 1/2 hours
*# of total siblings seen= 9
* Being in California for the Holidays- Priceless
